I just wanted to say thank you to everyone that attended mum's funeral. After the committal at the crematorium, I went to down to Hamble to say my goodbyes to mum personally as this was her favourite place to be when she was more able, and such a very peaceful place to be. I had an ice cream for mum from the little cafe there that she often visited and shared it with her in my thoughts whilst looking across the water to the pink ferry, on which mum enjoyed her trips across to Warsash and back. It was a very moving and reflective moment, and I knew that mum was with me in spirit. I took a photo of the pink ferry which I will put on the photos page for her, as she had not had a chance to go there much lately.
Afterwards, I took a trip to Exmouth/Sidmouth with Alan, and looked across the water to Sandy Bay, my favourite holiday place as a child and mum chanting on arrival: "Hooray for Sandy Bay!"
I love you Mum. xxx
